We all experience trauma, and those experiences birthed the songs that became the work of Finding Beauty in Pain, the upcoming Extended Play release from Buried in Lies, arriving December 10, 2025 through Auricular Impalement.

Consisting of Tyler Trejo (vocals), Dylan Jordan (guitar, vocals), Dan Boren (lead guitar), and Andrew Campos (drums, samples), the band built upon the foundation of their 2024 self-titled EP and pushed the boundaries of their musical and emotional abilities to create something truly transformative.

Writing for the album began shortly after the first EP was completed, but the creative spark deepened in the autumn that followed. As Tyler Trejo sat in the hospital the day before Halloween, thinking he might lose his grandfather, the emotional core of Finding Beauty in Pain was born.

“Reality is a cruel thing, isn’t it?”

Through this record, Buried in Lies has been reborn — embracing emotional vulnerability and drawing on a diverse range of influences including shoegaze, visual kei, hardcore, and nu metal. The result is a unique, thought-provoking collection of songs that expand the boundaries of metalcore while staying true to the band’s roots.

Having shared the stage with heavy-hitting acts like Tallah, Enox, and Warped Tour icons A Skylit Drive, Buried in Lies now stand ready to show the world their most heartfelt and devastating work to date.
